BetterStories Limited-Licensee of Bangladesh Startup Cup organized the Celebration Night of the 2014 Bangladesh Startup Cup, at British Council in collaboration with DBL, World Bank Group and WSP. Bangladesh Startup Cup is a 7-month long Business Model competition that allows people with ideas to come into a seven months long program to build their business. 2014 was the first year for Startup Cup to take place in Bangladesh.
The Cup is a competitive process that brings new business ideas to light. In this program, aspiring entrepreneurs learn to design viable business models, develop customers, and launch their startup business concepts into the market. Over a period of seven months, selected participants received mentoring and develop their ideas through a feedback loop approach from mentors and judges.[blockquote source=]Z-Pack was declared as winner. Bangladesh Startup Cup that kick started in April, 2014, has seen more than 47 startups participating and getting coaching from seasoned mentors. The objective of the celebration night of the competition was to reward the winner from a group of 04 finalists and to celebrate the true spirit of entrepreneurship.

In his speech, Sean Griffin, Founder of Startup Cup said, "story of Bangladesh Startup Cup tells us what is possible. It has some really great startups that will set examples of successes in coming days and I believe the cup will have long term impact on the eco-system and help launch more startups in coming days. Bangladesh is a wonderful country and I'm amazed to see entrepreneurial spirit in common people, spirit to do something better."
