Bangladesh Youth Enterprise Advice & Helpcentre (BYEAH), in collaboration with Youth Business International (YBI), has recently announced the launch of the Social and Green Impact Incubation Challenge (SGI2) 2023, a program designed to empower and propel early-stage social and green businesses in Bangladesh toward meaningful impact and growth.

The innovative initiative integrates the power of incubation with a competitive edge, offering a unique platform for entrepreneurs to transform their innovative ideas into sustainable ventures. Applications for the program are open now and interested entrepreneurs can apply online via the SGI2 2023 website: byeah.org/sgi2/sgi2-challenge-2023.

Biniyog.io, Future Startup, and Innoventure Universe Ltd. are the other three valued partners of this program.

Bangladesh, like many countries, faces pressing social and environmental challenges that require innovative solutions. Early-stage businesses play a vital role in driving positive change, and BYEAH recognizes the significance of supporting these entrepreneurs. The program is tailored to address the unique challenges faced by early-stage businesses, offering guidance and support at every step of their entrepreneurial journey.

Key highlights of the program include:

  • Grants of up to a total of BDT 1,50,000 for winners to accelerate their businesses. Additionally, they can leverage opportunities with biniyog.io, a crowdfunding platform, to access debt-based funds ranging from BDT 3 lakh to 15 lahks per business, based on risk-scoring results.
    • This comprehensive financial support system aims to ensure the financial robustness of ventures, enabling them to flourish and thrive.
  • Entrepreneurs will have the chance to connect with like-minded peers who share their passion for social and environmental change. The program offers ample networking opportunities within a dynamic cohort, enriching their entrepreneurial journey and fostering collaborative growth.
  • Participants will gain access to an exclusive global toolkit meticulously curated to address the unique challenges faced by businesses in Bangladesh.
  • Participants will have a unique opportunity to showcase their solutions to a London-based global network facilitated by Youth Business International. This allows them to connect with experts, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs from around the world, broadening their horizons and expanding their possibilities.
  • Entrepreneurs will receive one-on-one coaching and mentorship from industry experts who are dedicated to seeing their businesses thrive.

Who can apply: Entrepreneurs aged 18-35 with innovative ideas addressing social or environmental challenges in Bangladesh are encouraged to apply by September 23, 2023. Applications can be submitted online via the SGI2 2023 website: byeah.org/sgi2/sgi2-challenge-2023
