4. ShopUp Raises $1.62 Million Seed Round Led By Omidyar Network

ShopUp announced on Monday that it raised USD $1.62 million in seed funding led by Omidyar Network, the impact investment firm established by Pierre Omidyar, the founder of eBay and participated by angel investors from Facebook, Google, Amazon, Grab, and leading global banks. The fund also includes a grant from UK AID.

3. Bioscope Launches Paid Subscription Bioscope Prime

Bioscope, Grameenphone’s digital video-streaming platform, has launched an interesting bundle paid subscription called Bioscope Prime. The new feature is only available to GP users and can be bought in the form of buying Grameenphone’s internet package. Paid users will get access to exclusive contents, TV channels and more. The new feature will also contain exciting TV channels of Zee and Colors Network, entertaining music and different sports channels. The users will also get to access original contents produced under Bioscope Originals.

2. Innovation In Remote Operations: Field Buzz Sales

Field Buzz Sales is a software solution that uses smartphones to help companies and organizations to manage their dispersed and remote operations more efficiently. It is based on a cloud-based web-management interface called “Mission Control” and a mobile application, which is used by field workers. Easy-to-use, intuitive user interfaces make it very easy for field workers to input data. Information that employees record in the field is synced to Mission Control automatically and is therefore accessible for the managers in real time. The data is stored and displayed in an organized manner, enabling the company management to easily keep track, view, analyze and react to all the information coming in from the field with tools like graphs, maps, alerts, and targets.
