In early days of a start-up, entrepreneur develops in-house resources alone or with two or three partners. After growing to a certain stage, he has to recruit people to materialize his expansion plan. From alone he turns into a leader of a team. Working alone and working with a team can never be a same thing. When you are alone recovery of something bad you have done is easier than when you are with a team. Every single action of a team has a multiplier effect on the team. It spreads, it sustains, it can benefit you or in the same way it can harm you in the long run. What you are doing today is going to be the culture of your firm. So be careful about and reexamine your attitude towards forces like employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders of your business.

For example, you possess a bureaucratic mentality. You are over confident about your own idea and want it to implement ignoring the possibility of other’s ideas. Indirectly you are discouraging the creative thinking of your employees. It will create an environment where the people grow up with a mentality of just holding the status quo and restricting the creative thinking of lower level employees. Psychologically your firm will be a barren entity.

To shape the business as a entity you want clarify your attitudes toward forces with your each and every action. Make your actions aligned to your organization philosophy. For example, Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com, always wants his firm to be termed as innovative. When he recruits people he just asked them only one question,” Have you invented something?”The invention may be silly, very small, just for kidding friends, he doesn't care about that. What he really cares is whether the man has gone with the invention process or not. It is clear, it is obvious, it is the standards with which amazon.com goes.

Warren Buffet defines smartness by the obsession for a certain job. For a cycle manufacturing company, He prefers people having obsession with cycle, its mechanism than a MBA holder knowing different market analysis models. He was successful to spread his definition of smartness to his subordinates and to create a culture of obsession, love for work.

As a leader your work- philosophy, your attitudes should be communicated with your whole team. Sam Walton, founder of Walmart, says, “"The way management treats their associates is exactly how the associates will then treat the customers."

For start-up entrepreneurs these practices are more important as it is their time to build. After a certain period, when a distinctive culture is already made within the organization, entrepreneurs need to just copy the culture to a new business unit and to get the benefits. So, invest your best as a leader when you are going to start something.
