HungryNaki Expands to 5 New Locations, Looks to Expand Grocery Delivery Service

App-based food delivery service company Hungrynaki, a concern of Daraz Bangladesh, announced today that it has expanded to 5 new locations in Bangladesh:  Savar, Gazipur, Keraniganj, Tongi, and Cumilla. Starting from July 1, 2021, locals in these locations can place orders for foods and necessary groceries without any hassle and stepping out of the comfort of their homes amid the pandemic.

  • The company says it has onboarded numerous off-the-charts restaurants, including Mithai (Cumilla), Tasty Treat (Keraniganj), Pizza Hut (Savar), on the HungryNaki platform, and users can order from these restaurants. 100 other restaurants will be joining the platform in the coming days.
  • HungryNaki announced several offers for the users in these locations including a reduced delivery charge of BDT 19 and a unique voucher (HNISHERE) to enjoy a discount of BDT 100 (minimum order amount BDT 300).

On this occasion, Abu Saleh Didar, Head of Commercial, HungryNaki, said, “HungryNaki wants to spread its service all across the country and live up to the expectations of the food lovers and customers. To that end, we have recently expanded our service to 5 more zones. We will keep expanding so that even someone from a suburb can enjoy what he/she loves. Amidst the pandemic, stay home and order food from HungryNaki to avoid risks.”

Hungrynaki’s expansion in more cities indicates a coming hit up in the food and grocery delivery sector as companies gear for potential market dominance.

Founded in 2013, HungryNaki is an app-based food delivery service company. With a network span of a large number of restaurants, cloud kitchens, and home kitchens, and service extended in 10 cities in Bangladesh, HungryNaki offers on-demand delivery to a cross-section of people. At the moment, the company claims that it serves more than 500,000 customers across Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Narayanganj, Cox’s Bazar, Savar, Gazipur, Tongi, Keraniganj, and Cumilla and over 700 riders of HungryNaki deliver food, groceries, and medicine to the customers. However,

HungryNaki was fully acquired by Daraz on March 4, 2021. Currently, HungryNaki is functioning with all the existing employees as a separate independent food platform owned by Daraz directly.
