Telenor Health has signed an agreement with Sheba.xyz, an online based marketplace devoted to providing the best quality service, said a statement sent to FS.
Under this agreement, service providers of Sheba.xyz, will now be enjoying the digital health care benefits of Tonic that includes up to BDT 200,000 yearly coverage for the hospital stay, monthly free minutes for 24/7 doctor consultation, discounts on products/ services of health care partners and much more.
Why this matters
- Sheba has been trying to build a bundle of services for its service providers, whom Sheba calls micro and SME entrepreneurs. In recent times, Sheba mentioned repeatedly that it aims to create and empower these entrepreneurs across the country. Partnership with Telenor Health can be an interesting addition to that bundle although it is tough to predict how much Sheba service providers would find value in it.
- For Telenor Health this essentially is an opportunity to explore to grow its customer base as it continues to push its products and services in the market and tries to build a sustainable business. The real question lies in activating a user, how many of Sheba service providers eventually actively avail the service.
- While B2B deals are always attractive for companies like Telenor Health because it allows you to have a large number of customers at once but it is often challenging to activate these customers individually because individual customers don’t feel that attachment with the decision because they did not make it for them. We have to wait and see it how it goes. One thing for sure is that this allows both companies to get some attention from the market regardless of the impact of that attention.
