10 Minute School, one of the largest ed-tech startups that is working to improve access to education for young people in Bangladesh, announced that it has raised $5.5Mn in the Pre-Series A round led by Conjunction Capital.
The investors: The round is led by Conjunction Capital, a Dubai-based Venture Capital Private Equity firm, along with participation from returning investor Peak XV’s Surge (Formerly Sequoia Capital India’s Surge), and Startup Bangladesh Limited.
What is 10 Minute School: 10 Minute School is a K12 and skill development ed-tech platform based in Bangladesh that provides online education and courses to help students all over the country. It started as a small bootstrapped operation in 2015. The company has since experienced phenomenal growth and become one of the most important online education technology companies in Bangladesh. Currently, it has 3.2 million monthly active learners, and over 650,000 paid users, and its app downloaded over 6.7 million times.
This marks the largest seed-stage investment ever received by a startup in Bangladesh, pushing 10 Minute School’s cumulative funding to $7.5Mn thus far.
