Flight Expert Goes To Chattogram

Flight Expert, the Dhaka-based OTA, is going places. Last week, it has expanded to Chattogram. In an email statement, Flight Expert said, “our travel industry, especially the air travel industry is expanding rapidly. People are traveling abroad more often these days. We have a sound customer base in Chattogram and it is growing. So it was the need of time to take some action so we can provide better support to them. This is why we have opened our first branch in Chattogram. We already have our strong online presence in Chattogram. Now, this physical branch will act as an additional support. Our team will be able to provide face to face customer support. We believe this will be something very effective in sorting out issues and solving them quickly.”

Since launching in mid-2017, Flight Expert has successfully positioned itself as a leading OTA in the country, from what began as a modest operation of a three people team. The company has now a team of over 40 people and enjoys a widespread brand awareness in the market.

Over the past months, it has assembled a team of creative first-timers and experienced industry insiders which has meaningfully helped Flight Expert position itself as a destination OTA for a growing number of people. With its expansion to Chattogram, the company aims to ride the wave of growing travel and tourism industry in the country.

Travel is a $7 trillion dollar industry globally. In Bangladesh, it has been seeing a steady growth over the past couple of years, an increasing number of Bangladeshis are now traveling overseas (formal outbound travel expenses was $436.4 million in FY16) and the industry is just getting started, in every meaning of the word. Put that together with OTA, the future of OTA business can only go one direction and that’s exponential growth.
