In a different world

Since today marketing has been changed fundamentally. 20 years back there was hardly 2-4 television channels in Bangladesh but today there is more than 20 channels excluding local cable channels and Indian and other foreign channels. 20 years back there was hardly 5 to 6 newspapers but now uncountable. Interruption in our life has been multiplied many times. Speed of life has increased ferociously.

The media fragmentation has gone beyond our imagination. We are now exposed to number of media in every second. Message and information is coming towards us from all directions. Silence is scarce. Attention is extinct.

Now you spend more time on face-book and blog than in watching TV. You read through social reader instead of buying a newspaper. If buy one you seldom could manage time to give it a read. Information is not scarce rather it's becoming a overload  abounding people to being selective regarding what to remember and what not.

Similarly, you know information makes people powerful it has grown consumer power significantly. Connection among like-minded people to create pressure on almost anybody has been increased manifold. Now you cannot scape from anyone with a facebook account!

Understanding is: things have changed. Realizing all these changes is important for survival. Communication style, communication media, rules and tools has been changed and adapting with these changes is indispensable. Old tools are now obsolete but new tools give us immense power. Connect unlike anytime before.

The purpose of this article is not to make you accustomed with all these changes but at-least to provoke a dialogue about all of it.
