Grameenphone launches ‘Safe Internet', Targets Parents

Grameenphone introduced ‘Safe Internet’ Parents Guidebook today published by its parent company Telenor Group to facilitate informed use of the Internet by children. The launching event was held at Agrani School and College in Azimpur, as part of Grameenphone's continuous endeavor to spread awareness among the parents and children regarding safe use of Internet, said a press release. The guidebook is available both in Bangla and English and will be distributed by Grameenphone among target groups.

Grameenphone has an ambition to provide Internet for All. The company is also working to build awareness among the users regarding safe use of Internet. The launch was part of the continuous endeavor undertaken by Grameenphone to spread awareness among parents and children regarding safe use of Internet. It will hold workshops in 500 schools with the help of BRAC. Earlier this year Grameenphone arranged a workshop and published awareness advertisement regarding Safe Internet on national dailies on the occasion of Safer Internet Day.
