After nearly a decade at the forefront of digital transformation in telecom, I made the bold decision to step away from the stability of senior roles and co-found something of my own. A tech automation company, rooted in AI and IoT, built for both local relevance and global scalability.
But this wasn’t a sudden pivot. It was the natural evolution of everything I had worked on for years.
At Banglalink, I led the transformation of MyBL into a Super App that grew to 8M+ monthly active users and achieved 5X revenue growth. I built platforms in entertainment, health, Islamic services, and education. I designed the 6C framework, the FEM (Frequency, Engagement, Monetization) strategy, and helped reshape how digital services interact with real user behavior.
Before that, I was part of Bangladesh’s fintech revolution—leading the GTM strategy for the bKash Retailer App and accelerating digital transactions.
But something kept bothering me...
As I delved deeper into strategy, user funnels, and retention metrics, a pattern emerged: every digital leap was capped by operational inefficiencies and a lack of intelligent automation.
You could scale a streaming app. You could design a fintech onboarding campaign. But without backend systems that adapt, predict, and optimize in real time—growth wasn’t sustainable.
I saw the bottleneck: Manual processes trying to keep up with digital ambition. And I realised, the next wave of transformation wouldn’t be in apps or interfaces. It would be in smart systems, automation, and ambient intelligence.
So I co-founded Metal Studio—a tech company specialising in AI and IoT-led automation. Our mission is to help businesses:
We’re not just offering tech solutions. We’re rethinking how companies operate in a post-digital world.
At the heart of Metal Studio lies our commitment to providing Technology Support and Augmentation as a Service. This means delivering scalable, intelligent solutions that enhance and extend existing business capabilities. By integrating AI and IoT, we enable organisations to:
This approach ensures that businesses are not just keeping up with technological advancements but are proactively leveraging them to drive growth and innovation.
Bangladesh is on the brink of a new digital age. Smartphone penetration is high. Digital services are mainstream. But automation is still lagging. Companies are spending millions on digital marketing while ignoring the systems behind the scenes. I wanted to be early in that shift. Not just as a strategist, but as a builder.
My journey—from Qubee to bKash, Chorki to Banglalink—taught me how ecosystems grow, how monetisation works, and how to scale platforms in challenging markets. Now, I’m applying those lessons to create impact through intelligent automation. It’s not about leaving a secure environment—it’s about pushing its boundaries from the outside.
Because transformation isn’t just about apps. It’s about systems that think, learn, and evolve.
