Shikho raises new investment from SAJIDA Foundation, international investors to expand reach and impact

Shikho, a leading education technology startup from Bangladesh, announced that it has raised $900,000 in new investment from three new and one existing investor in a strategic funding round. The company writes in a press release that the new round will help it on its mission to democratize access to high-quality education in Bangladesh and expand its reach and impact. 

Investors in the round: Total four investors took part in the round which includes three international venture capital funds: Goodwater, Sturgeon Capital, Black Kite Capital, and the local philanthropic organization SAJIDA Foundation. 

Highest-funded edtech startup: The round makes Shikho the highest-funded edtech startup in the country. The company has raised a total of $6.5 million USD to date. Previous investors include Learn Capital, Wavemaker Partners, Anchorless Bangladesh, and a few others. 

What Shikho has to say: Shikho says it has already made significant strides in advancing the quality of education in Bangladesh. The startup claims that it had reached over two and a half million students in 2022 and its learning platform currently offers a data-centric, personalized, and engaging learning experience that empowers students to learn at their own pace and in their preferred style whilst creating access to some of the best teachers in the country.
