Future Startup Virtual Meetup November 2022

Hey everyone,

We’re hosting a Future Startup virtual readers meet-up on 05 November 2022 at 11:00 A.M. (Bangladesh Time).

We’ve been meaning to organize some FS community events for a long time but never managed to do one except for a few FS Talks in the early days. That’s usual akrasia. That’s going to change now with our first meetup.  Once we get started, we plan to organize meetups on a regular cadence.

There are a couple of purposes: while we have been working on FS for quite a while, we never had a chance to meet any of our readers, at least not in a meetup kinda setting. (On a side note, I routinely meet FS readers in regular settings.) We want to change that. So, the first objective is to meet each other and get to know each other. We also want to learn about what you like and don't like about our work. This will allow us to improve and grow FS in the direction most useful for our readers.

The most important reason, however, is building a learning community. Building a company is difficult. Creation of any kind is a lonely journey. It is useful when you have a community of like-minded people. You can come together, share your challenges and lessons and learn from each other. Great founders are often learning machines. But you need a cultural setting for the learning to take place. We want to help build that cultural setting.

Format: The meetup will be mostly informal discussions. However, having a structure is always useful. We'll follow a rough format:

Introduction: An introduction from FS about what we are working on and recent developments, followed by agenda for the meet-up.

Founder Talk featuring Al-Amin Sarker Tayef, Founder, and CEO, Barikoi (Read our interview with Tayef here.)

Discussion and Q&A: Ask anything about FS, venture building, share ideas, and comment.

Closing: Closing remarks and announcements

Details event agenda will be shared with the registered users a few days ahead of the event.

Duration: 1:30 hours.

Date: 05 November 2022

Time: 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. (Bangladesh time)

Where: Zoom video conference. Links and details will be shared over email with selected participants.
