Brief
Accelerating Asia, a Singapore-based regional network of startups and an early-stage venture capital fund, has announced the names of 10 startups that made into its inaugural cohort of the accelerator program. Among the 10 startups, two Bangladeshi startups have been selected in the program.
What you need to know
- The first cohort includes companies from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
- The program has companies working on wide-ranging fields including big data, ecommerce, human resources, logistics, software-as-a-service, transportation, and remittances.
- Each startup will receive about US$72,000 in funding, office space in Downtown Singapore along with other benefits such as access to Amazon Web Services, HubSpot, and Tribe Theory.
- The program is four-month-long with weekly activities in the first three months and a one-month period that includes programs in San Francisco and Silicon Valley and a demo day
Zantrik and Loop
Zantrik and Loop are two startups that have got into the program from Bangladesh. Both companies operate in the transportation space.
Zantrik is an on-demand automotive services platform. Loop is a technology-enabled marketplace for full truckload freight.
