On The Back Of Consistent Growth Of Its Carrier and Mobile Handset Business, Huawei Eyes To Expand Its Enterprise And Cloud Business In Dhaka

Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd CTO Jerry Wang said in an interview with Bangla daily Prothom Alo that Huawei currently has four businesses in Bangladesh: Carrier business where it provides technology-solutions to telecom operators, consumer business which is basically its mobile handset business, enterprise business where it provides digitization services to companies and its cloud business.

He said Huawei is the undisputed leader in carrier business and it continues to enjoy a healthy growth in the space. The company has also enjoyed a rapid growth in its mobile handset business. He said Huawei has enjoyed highest growth among all the Chinese brands operating in Bangladesh.

Mr. Wang said Huawei’s enterprise and cloud businesses are relatively new in Bangladesh and have seen a good growth over the past months. However, the company plans to push its enterprise and cloud business for further growth as it sees that there is room for growth in these two spaces.
