YY Goshti, Bangladesh’s first independent social business incubator is now in the lookout of early-stage social entrepreneurs with support from The EMK Center. The program is currently accepting applications for its fourth cohort, said a media release sent to FS.
The YY Goshti Incubator has been designed to incubate social business startups to build and grow their businesses through a robust journey. Ambitious social business startups can apply through YY Goshti website until June 15, 2018.
The 10 startups who can make through a competitive selection process, will be provided with an intensive, rapid and immersive mentoring, coaching and training over the four-month period, as well as can work from YY Goshti Space.
YY Goshti brings veteran experts, industry pioneers to reshape the startups so that they can avail investor exposures; impact investment, relevant industry contacts and professional help on things such as business development, market research, valuation or financial modeling are offered to speed up the path to market for the startups. This incubator program allows the ventures to build a robust business model, become investable and scale up.
Since 2016, YY Goshti has already completed three cohorts and supported 30+ early-stage social entrepreneurs in Bangladesh who are building social businesses in the field of agriculture, water, and sustainable communities. Previously incubated startups are solving some of the biggest challenges of the time, such as Shishir Water ensures potable drinking water in arsenic affected communities. Some are using technology to tap Bangladesh’s tourism potential, such as Avijatrik which is offering community tourism services.
