New Carpooling Service DhakaRides Launches In Dhaka

New Carpooling service DhakaRides launches today in Dhaka with a view to solve commuters problem with finding car on their way to and back from work station, office, college/universities. The service, launched as pilot, will be available for only one route for now: Dhanmondi - Bashundhara - Dhanmondi. For said route it will cost BDT 150 per commuter. Over the time, the startup aims to increase number of routes based on popular demand.

Dhaka is increasingly becoming a popular place for lots of 'car services'. We have seen Chalo to launch early this year and few more car hailing services also announced their possible launches in last few months. There are Toma and few other existing taxi services in the market. However, carpooling in the form of ride sharing is new to Dhaka.
