A half-day event exploring the opportunities to build sustainable startups and organizations in the blue economy. Experienced professionals from Bangladesh and the United States will deliver talks and facilitate participatory learning sessions on marine ecology, economy, and resilience in the Bay of Bengal region.
Main sessions will focus on climate resilience in Bangladesh and the United States, business models for blue economy sectors, and marine megafauna conservation.
This event is a part of a monthly series running from October 2019 to June 2020.
The expected outcome of these events is that conservation professionals and social-entrepreneurs will have access to more shared experience and knowledge on public engagement in resilience and sustainability. Based on the discussions of each event, an e-book will be prepared and made available for the public. A video version of the talks will be made available to all organizing partners to share publicly.
