With Singapore topping the list for two consecutive years, Asian Cities dominate the top of the world most expensive cities index 2017 by The Economist Intelligence Unit. The report, titled Worldwide Cost of Living 2017, compares the price of over 150 items in 133 cities around the world.
According to the EIU, “Asia now hosts five out of the top six ranked cities in the world, with four European cities and New York joining them to complete the top ten.” Brazil and Australia saw the fastest growth in the relative cost of living.
