Seedstars Dhaka 2017: Meet The 8 Finalists

Seedstars Dhaka, the local chapter of now-famed global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets Seedstars World, has selected 8 startups from its preliminary selection process who will pitch before a panel of the judges and investors for the local winner title on September 23rd, said statement sent to Future Startup. The event, title ​Sponsored​ ​by​ ​LankaBangla​ ​Finance​ ​Limited, powered by Grameenphone Accelerator and​ ​supported​ ​by​ ​ICT​ ​Division​ ​of​ ​Bangladesh, will take place at GP House.

Here is the complete list of startups selected for the final. The winner will represent​ Bangladesh​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Regional​ ​and​ ​Global​ ​Seedstars​ ​Summits,​ ​and​ compete ​to​ ​win​ ​up​ ​to​ ​USD​ ​1 million​ ​in​ ​equity​ ​investments

Arektu: Provides a SaaS product for E-commerce companies.

CMED Health Limited: IoT enabled cloud based preventive healthcare platform that monitors health parameters, predict health risks and reduce health cost.

Microtech Interactive: Provides interactive learning products for kids using augmented reality technology.

Barikoi: Helps logistics and e-commerce companies to be efficient.

Head Blocks: Provides IT trainings and helps companies to search the right people to excel your organization.

Cookups Technologies: Cookups is airbnb for home-cooked meals. A platform for buying and selling wholesome homemade food.

Jolpie Technologies: A complete healthcare platform that focuses on appointments, consultations, medicine and health records.

REPTO: An online course marketplace that aims democratize the education system of Bangladesh.

The eight startups will pitch in front of a jury consisting of Khurshed Alam from LankaBangla Finance, Kazi Hassan from Grameenphone, Prince Mojumder from Genex Infosys Limited, Mustafizur Rahman from CVCFL, Ahad Mohammad Bhai of Razor Capital, Tina Jabeen of Startup Bangladesh - IDEA, Samad Miraly from Startup Dhaka, Tareq Al Muntasir from Socian, and Adriana Collini from Seedstars, said the statement.
